Many vintage computers have reached the age where their capacitors are starting to fail. Failing capacitors can leak corrosive fluids. This can result in destruction of the main board. This destruction if caught early can be repaired.
Old capacitors don’t always leak, but can still negatively affect your system. This can be some of the following:
